“Chinese Railway Technology” Training program was successfully carried out by BJTU for PGUPS group

Group consisted of 16 students and teacher from Russian Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University (PGUPS) has paid a visit to our university during May 25 to 31, 2019 for a training program on railway technology.
Lectures on development of Chinese railway transportation, new intelligent control and automation technology in railway and China high-speed railway infrastructure were given to the group.
A digital translation box was recently equipped in the Center for International Education (CIE) in our university as an instrument to improve the multi-language communication in the class, through which Chinese speaking can be translated into foreign language simultaneously. Satisfied with the sense of barrier-free communication, the group expressed gratitude to the CIE for being considerate in the arrangement.
The group also visits to National Engineering Research Center of Rail Transportation Operation and Control System, Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd (TCT) and China High-Speed Railway Technology Co., Ltd. (CHSR) as scheduled. The group were impressed by the high end technology Chinese companies and research institutions like BJTU has made.
The group also visited Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and National Stadium. The beauty of Chinese culture fascinated the visitors from Russia.
Closing ceremony was launched on May 31. Deputy Director of CIE, TAN Jie, presented and delivered speech, drawing a successful conclusion to the training event.
